Author Declaration

An Author Declaration is a mandatory requirement for every manuscript submission to Journal Ius Commercium (JIC). This declaration addresses ethical, legal, and administrative aspects of scholarly publication. Authors are required to complete, sign, and upload the declaration form as part of the submission process.

  1. Corresponding Author

    The corresponding author must provide a complete name, institutional affiliation, mailing address, telephone number, and valid email address. The corresponding author is responsible for all communications with the editorial office during the submission, review, revision, and publication process.

    The corresponding author is also responsible for communicating editorial decisions, revision requests, and proof approvals to all co-authors. Only the corresponding author is authorized to communicate directly with the editorial office regarding the manuscript.

  2. Redundant or Duplicate Publication

    Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal or publication platform. Any overlap with previously published or submitted works must be clearly disclosed to the editor.

    Authors are required to provide references and copies of related publications whenever the submitted manuscript substantially overlaps with previous work. Failure to disclose duplicate or redundant publication may result in editorial rejection or retraction.

  3. Authorship

    All listed authors must have made significant academic contributions to the manuscript and must approve the final version before publication. Authorship should be based on:

    • Substantial contributions to the conception, design, data collection, analysis, or interpretation of the research;
    • Drafting or critically revising the manuscript for important intellectual content;
    • Final approval of the version to be published.

    All authors must sign the Author Declaration form. The order of authorship must be agreed upon by all authors prior to submission.

  4. Addition, Removal, or Rearrangement of Authors

    Requests to add, remove, or rearrange author names after manuscript submission must be submitted by the corresponding author and accompanied by written approval from all authors involved, including any author being added or removed.

    Changes in authorship after acceptance may result in delays to publication and may require editorial review or publication of a corrigendum.

  5. Conflict of Interest

    Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, personal, or professional relationships that could influence the objectivity or interpretation of the research findings.

    If no conflict of interest exists, authors should clearly state:

    “The authors confirm that there are no known conflicts of interest associated with this publication and there has been no significant financial support for this work that could have influenced its outcome.”

  6. Ethical Issues

    Research involving human participants or animals must comply with applicable ethical standards, institutional regulations, and international ethical guidelines. Authors must confirm that ethical approval has been obtained where required.

    Authors must also ensure that all identifiable personal data are published with proper consent from the respective individuals or institutions.

  7. Acknowledgements

    Contributors who do not meet the criteria for authorship, including technical assistants, proofreaders, translators, or institutional supporters, should be acknowledged appropriately within the manuscript.

    Financial support, grants, sponsorships, or institutional assistance related to the research must also be disclosed in the acknowledgements section.

  8. Impact Statement

    Authors are encouraged to provide a concise statement explaining the academic significance, legal relevance, and potential contribution of the study to the development of commercial law, business regulation, economic policy, or interdisciplinary legal scholarship.

  9. Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools

    Authors are permitted to use artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools solely as supporting instruments in the process of language improvement, grammar checking, translation assistance, formatting, or preliminary literature exploration. The use of AI must not replace the authors’ intellectual contribution, academic judgment, critical analysis, interpretation of findings, or scientific responsibility.

    Authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, integrity, and validity of all contents presented in the manuscript, including any sections assisted by AI technologies.

    Any substantial use of AI tools in manuscript preparation should be transparently disclosed in the manuscript, preferably within the acknowledgements section or an author note. AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors under any circumstances.

    The editorial board of Journal Ius Commercium (JIC) reserves the right to evaluate whether the use of AI complies with publication ethics, academic integrity, and scholarly standards.
