Author Guidelines
If you encounter difficulties during the manuscript submission process, particularly when the notification "The current role does not have access to this operation." appears, please follow these steps:
- Click the menu located in the upper-right corner of the journal page.
- Select View Profile.
- Open the Roles section.
- Check the Author role to enable manuscript submission access.
Authors may also click Register with Other Journals and select one or more available roles in other journals managed by our institution. This option is recommended if you intend to submit manuscripts in the future to other journals that match the respective focus and scope of those publications.
Manuscripts submitted to International Journal of Justice and Legal Systems (IJJLS) must be original scientific works that have never been published or simultaneously submitted to other journals or publication media. All manuscripts must conform to the journal template, writing style, and publication ethics determined by the journal.
IJJLS welcomes scholarly contributions in the fields of justice, comparative legal systems, constitutional law, criminal law, administrative law, human rights, legal policy, and interdisciplinary legal studies. Submitted manuscripts are expected to demonstrate analytical depth, scientific novelty, critical discussion, and contemporary legal relevance.
The editorial board conducts plagiarism screening using Turnitin software. Manuscripts with a similarity index exceeding 25% will be rejected. Authors are required to attach the Turnitin similarity report during the submission process.
The manuscript should be organized systematically as follows:
- Title; The title must consist of 5–14 words, written concisely and specifically without including institutional names or research method terminology such as “juridical analysis,” “normative review,” and similar expressions.
- Author(s) Name; Written without academic degree.
- Affiliation and Corresponding Email Address; for example: author@usp.ac.id.
- Abstract; The abstract must be written in English in a single paragraph consisting of 150–250 words. The abstract should contain the research objectives, background of the study, urgency of the research, novelty, research methods, and findings or conclusions.
- Keywords; Authors must provide 3–5 keywords arranged alphabetically.
- Introduction; The Introduction section should contain the research background, urgency, literature review, state of the art, research gap analysis, scientific contribution, and research objectives. The introduction should not exceed 1,500 words.
- Method; The Method section must clearly explain the research approach, research specifications, data sources, data collection techniques, and data analysis methods in paragraph form.
- Results and Discussion; The Results and Discussion section must be written descriptively, analytically, and critically. Authors are encouraged to elaborate legal arguments supported by theories, legislation, jurisprudence, and relevant scholarly references. Tables, figures, and charts may be included and must be accompanied by titles, explanations, and source information.
- Conclusion; The Conclusion section must be written in narrative form within a single paragraph containing answers to the research objectives, research findings or novelty, conclusions, and recommendations or implications. The conclusion should not exceed 250 words.
- References; Citations and references must follow the Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (Full Note). Authors are required to use reference management software such as Mendeley, Zotero, or EndNote. References must contain at least 25 sources, with a minimum of 85% derived from recent scientific publications published within the last four years.
Manuscripts must be prepared using B5 paper size (18 cm × 25 cm), with margins consisting of 2.5 cm for the top and left sides, and 2 cm for the bottom and right sides. The manuscript must use EB Garamond font, size 12 pt, with 1.15 line spacing and single-column format.
The manuscript length should range between 5,000–10,000 words, including abstracts, footnotes, references, tables, and figures.
The use of first-person pronouns such as “I,” “we,” “the author,” or “the researcher” is not permitted. Authors should use formal academic expressions such as “this article” or “this study.” DOI information must be included for journal references whenever available.

Naskah yang dikirimkan ke International Journal of Justice and Legal Systems (IJJLS) harus merupakan karya ilmiah asli yang belum pernah dipublikasikan maupun sedang dalam proses pengajuan pada jurnal atau media publikasi lainnya. Seluruh naskah wajib mengikuti template jurnal, gaya selingkung, dan etika publikasi yang telah ditetapkan oleh jurnal.
IJJLS menerima kontribusi ilmiah di bidang keadilan, sistem hukum komparatif, hukum tata negara, hukum pidana, hukum administrasi, hak asasi manusia, kebijakan hukum, dan kajian hukum interdisipliner. Naskah yang dikirimkan diharapkan menunjukkan kedalaman analisis, kebaruan ilmiah, pembahasan yang kritis, dan relevansi terhadap isu hukum kontemporer.
Dewan editor melakukan pemeriksaan plagiarisme menggunakan aplikasi Turnitin. Naskah dengan tingkat kesamaan lebih dari 25% akan ditolak. Penulis wajib melampirkan hasil pemeriksaan Turnitin pada saat proses pengiriman artikel.
Sistematika penulisan naskah terdiri atas:
- Judul; Judul terdiri dari 5–14 kata, ditulis secara ringkas dan spesifik tanpa mencantumkan nama institusi maupun istilah metode penelitian seperti “tinjauan yuridis”, “analisis normatif”, dan istilah sejenis lainnya.
- Nama Penulis; Ditulis tanpa gelar akademik.
- Afiliasi dan Alamat Email Korespondensi; sebagai contoh: author@usp.ac.id.
- Abstrak; Abstrak ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris dalam satu paragraf dengan jumlah 150–250 kata. Abstrak harus memuat tujuan penelitian, latar belakang penelitian, urgensi penelitian, kebaruan penelitian, metode penelitian, serta hasil penelitian atau kesimpulan.
- Kata Kunci; Penulis wajib mencantumkan 3–5 kata kunci yang disusun secara alfabetis.
- Pendahuluan; Bagian pendahuluan harus memuat latar belakang penelitian, urgensi penelitian, kajian pustaka, state of the art, gap analysis, kontribusi ilmiah, serta tujuan penelitian. Pendahuluan ditulis maksimal 1.500 kata.
- Metode; Bagian metode harus menjelaskan pendekatan penelitian, spesifikasi penelitian, sumber data, teknik pengumpulan data, serta metode analisis data yang ditulis dalam bentuk paragraf.
- Hasil dan Pembahasan; Bagian hasil dan pembahasan ditulis secara deskriptif, analitis, dan kritis. Penulis diharapkan menguraikan argumentasi hukum yang didukung teori, peraturan perundang-undangan, yurisprudensi, dan referensi ilmiah yang relevan. Tabel, gambar, dan grafik dapat ditambahkan serta wajib disertai judul, penjelasan, dan sumber data.
- Penutup; Bagian penutup ditulis dalam bentuk narasi satu paragraf yang memuat jawaban atas tujuan penelitian, temuan atau kebaruan penelitian, kesimpulan, serta rekomendasi atau implikasi penelitian. Penutup ditulis maksimal 250 kata.
- Daftar Pustaka; Sitasi dan daftar pustaka menggunakan format Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (Full Note). Penulis wajib menggunakan aplikasi manajemen referensi seperti Mendeley, Zotero, atau EndNote. Referensi minimal terdiri dari 25 sumber dengan komposisi minimal 85% berasal dari publikasi ilmiah terbaru dalam empat tahun terakhir.
Naskah ditulis menggunakan ukuran kertas B5 (18 cm × 25 cm), margin atas dan kiri 2,5 cm, serta margin bawah dan kanan 2 cm. Penulisan menggunakan font EB Garamond ukuran 12 pt, spasi 1.15, dan format satu kolom.
Panjang artikel berkisar antara 5.000–10.000 kata termasuk abstrak, catatan kaki, daftar pustaka, tabel, dan gambar.
Penggunaan kata ganti orang pertama seperti “saya”, “kami”, “penulis”, atau “peneliti” tidak diperkenankan. Penulis dianjurkan menggunakan istilah formal akademik seperti “artikel ini” atau “penelitian ini”. DOI wajib dicantumkan pada referensi jurnal apabila tersedia.
